PLACES LIKE HOME

PLACES LIKE HOME is a love letter to the extraordinary places that I have been able live.

As I was growing up, I never understood just how special Southwest Georgia would become in my memories- the days hunting in the tall pines with my dad and friends; the rolling fields I’d drive by on my way to school; the quiet moments by the Muckalee. When I reflect on some of my favorite days, it’s impossible to separate the place and the people.

As God would have it, I have been lucky enough to move around throughout the Southeastern U.S., experiencing the wide range of diversity that this region of the country has to offer. I fell in love with fly fishing on the Savannah River, fished in the tropical waters of south Florida, and now I live in the Upstate —just a short drive from mountains and trout streams.

This collection is representative of what made me love art to begin with. The memories are mine, but the experiences are common to all who call these places home.
